Blind Side’ Star Quinton Aaron Rushed to Hospital After Sudden Collapse — On Life Support Claims Emerge

Quinton Aaron — the actor best known for portraying Michael Oher in The Blind Side — has been hospitalized after collapsing inside his home.

A manager for the actor confirms that Aaron has been in a hospital in Atlanta for the past three days. According to the rep, the incident happened last week while Quinton was walking up the stairs in his apartment, when his legs suddenly gave out, causing him to collapse. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

A GoFundMe page created on his behalf claims Quinton is currently “on life support due to a severe blood infection.” However, his manager says Aaron is stable, able to communicate with his family and team, and is receiving the appropriate medical care.

Doctors are continuing to run tests and closely monitor his condition, but at this time, there is no confirmed cause for the collapse.

Quinton and his family are reportedly taking the situation day by day. While they have requested privacy during this difficult period, his representative shared that they are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support, prayers, and well wishes from fans.

This latest health scare follows a series of medical challenges for the 40-year-old actor. In March 2025, Aaron was hospitalized in California after developing a high fever and coughing up blood. At the time, doctors believed he was suffering from Type A influenza and pneumonia. He also battled a severe upper respiratory infection in 2019.

Despite these struggles, Aaron has shown resilience. In October 2025, he opened up about his dramatic health journey, revealing that he had successfully lost 90 pounds — a battle he described as the toughest of his life.
