“This Is Pure Evil” — People Are Floored By The Trump Administration Considering A Reality TV Show Where Immigrants Compete For Citizenship

In dystopian news, the Wall Street Journal recently reported that the Department of Homeland Security may be entering the entertainment space as they consider taking part in a new show where immigrants compete for US citizenship.

No, this is not a dark twist on Netflix’s Squid Game. It’s a real reality TV show concept that, according to MSNBC, television producer Rob Worsoff says he’s been pitching since Obama’s administration days but to no avail.

Considering how the Trump administration has regularly used the White House’s official social media accounts to meme its sweeping deportation measures…

…perhaps it’s not a stretch to say that Worsoff may have better luck getting his show off the ground with this particular DHS.

Speaking of the DHS, the Wall Street Journal reports that spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin “said she had spoken to the producer of the proposed television reality show and that consideration of the idea was ongoing.

As you can imagine, reactions to news about the show’s concept as well as the US government’s potential involvement has the internet reeling.
